There are many important components to running a profitable, successful fundraiser with organization at the top of the list. By following these simple steps your organization will be well on their way to raising the funds they need. 

Start with determining what cause or need your organization will be raising funds for. It is important to supporters to know where their funds will be going whether it is for a new gym at school, a trip or conference for the organization to attend or for the general fund a defined plan is very important. With a purpose for the funds decided the next step is to set a goal or an amount to be raised. Remember to set a realistic goal, but do not set the bar too low either you want your members to be excited for the goal. By putting your plan in writing roles and responsibilities will be spelled out laying the blueprint for success.

Choosing what type of fundraiser will work for your organization is very important as well. There are many different types of fundraisers available from selling a product, sweepstakes, providing a service or hosting an event.  Take into consideration the size of your group, the amount of time you have to raise funds before selecting the right fundraiser.
